Ackbar

Ackbar was originally purchased from a market by a family who wanted a pet goat. However, they did not realize that goats are herd animals and need to be with other goats. Ackbar was frequently left all by himself and as a result he spent most of his days crying. The family eventually considered bringing him back because he cried too much!

If he had been returned, Ackbar had been slated to be the main course at a local barbeque. Fortunately, a kind neighbor heard about the poor goat’s fate and intervened. She called MFS and we picked him up right away.

Ackbar has been with us since 2015 and is one of our friendliest goats. He loves to follow barn volunteers around hoping to be petted and will try to butt heads for fun with other goats as well as people. He is also one of the members of our "Stars Wars" trio of goats, along with Chewie and Yoda.
