Romeo

Romeo was surrendered along with two other white Chinese geese by a couple whose neighbors complained that the geese were too loud. Chinese geese are among the most talkative of geese and these three are definitely no exception, especially Romeo.

MFS doesn’t mind the noise that these geese make at all. In fact, we like to refer to them as the sanctuary’s welcoming committee, since they will honk and greet all visitors.

Romeo can often be found flirting with our female barn volunteers (hence his romantic name), as well as occasional visitors. However, the two geese who came with Romeo get jealous of human affection towards Romeo and will sometimes attempt to pinch the volunteers!
